29 – 30 September 2021
Organizers: WWF Bulgaria, Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency (SZREDA), Black Sea Energy Research Centre (BSERC) and Trakia University – Department For Information And In-Service Teachers Training
Achieving climate neutrality by 2050, as set out in the European Union’s Green Pact, can only happen through strong partnership and cooperation between all stakeholders: authorities at all levels, workers, citizens, business, academia, science and education, NGOs …
The fourth Mayors’ Forum brings together and builds on last year’s:
- New Energy Mix – Social Policy Dialogue, part of the DeCarb Interreg Europe Project,
- 3rd Forum of Mayors, organised by WWF in Poland, and
- Horizon 2020 TRACER project
This forum will deepen the cooperation between 60 mayors from different European coal regions in transition and will serve as an example of how collaboration between several projects can provide more synergies, better results and stronger impact.
During the days of the forum, messages, speeches and viewpoints of European institutions, local authorities, business, trade unions, youth, academia, science, etc. will be heard.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, with a limit on the number of participants on site, and only the first registrants will be able to attend live at the Regional Library “Zahari Knyazheski” in Stara Zagora.
The online participation will be held on the ZOOM platform, after a preliminary registration. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, German, Bulgarian, Polish and Greek.
